Stratification and Families

Stratification plays an  important role in married upper class people who choose to have children after marriage and lower class people who have children with out being married. The video clip that i have found on YouTube stats that the percentage for divorces in the upper class has decreased and the percentage for divorces is increasing in lower class families. Not only is the divorces increasing so is the percentage on having children without being married. Making the decision to have a child without being in a stabled relationship can have the mother being a single parent  because they relationship did not work and the father does not want to be their. These type of people who have never seen a relationship last only know to break up when the relationship does not work. This video also includes how they do have a program that help men in urban areas reunite with there children and mothers of there children after walking out on them. I think that this topic makes me think about the roles that family members do have but in the year 2011 many of them don't. For example a man is suppose to provide for his family and take care of his children no matter what. How many men are actually out here taking care of there children making sure their okay no matter how he feels about his children mother not many at all. Families are not the same like they use to be.
