The lack of education in america

Education plays a major role in our society since its one of the main components of succeeding in life. Someone’s success can sometimes be determined by the quality of their education. The better the quality of someone’s education, the higher the chance they would have to succeed in life. Therefore, the quality of someone’s education can affect the performance of the students .In fact, students who attend school in the suburbs scored higher on tests compared to those students in urban city public schools. This difference in scores can sometimes be partially due to the lack of resource in these public schools, which directly affects student’s achievements as well as their learning. Therefore, the students who go to suburb schools will most likely have a better success in life then the student from public school due to the difference in the quality of their education.
This following video illustrates the result of poor education and how it drastically affects not only kids, but also our society. Students who do not receive a proper education in school are more likely to Drop out since they have no motivation and feel as if continuing school is useless. These students then end up taking a wrong path in their life and end up in jail or even pregnant.

As you just saw in the video, the lack of education can cause many bad outcomes to come out from it since a lot of the people who become either pregnant or early criminals usually are drop outs.  These drop outs can be managed by making each school district more equally funded. This will provide students rich and poor an equal education system nationwide. I believe that if we give each school the same amount of money that it is needed to properly function, poor students will have a less chance of dropping out and a higher chance of being successful in life, because the quality of their education will improve.

I agree with Hansel 100 %. Education dose play a very major role in our society and has a very big effect on our everyday lives, youth, careers, decision, and success. Therefore the lacking of funding, donation, and sometimes rules and regulations in our education system impacts us dramatically. Like “the no child left behind” regulation, that was just a dumb idea and it didn’t help anybody it just held us behind even worst. The public schools need to take notes from the charter, private, and schools out in the suburbs, because they don’t have to ask for a lot of money like those schools, they can ask for donations or start fundraisers, teachers and parents will do it for a tip. Think about it it’s 350 to 450 students in a public school, if the parents pay like $5 to $30 per child for school stuff to the school. They could donate and have a fundraiser for school text books, school books, computers, school supplies, breakfast and lunch or either send their children to school with breakfast or lunch. That will help out a lot, that way the other money could be used for different things to help. I like the video it shows how it's not just the education system it’s the parents to. They need to be involved in the schools more and in their children’s lives as well. I think that if parents and nonparents contribute to the schools, time and money it will show people that we care. It will attract investors and companies that will donate and help improve our schools, so our children will not go looking for excitement or turn drugs, street gangs and sex, in get pregnant and drop out of school. It will give our children and the youth something to be glad to look forward to.

Honestly Hansel, education in inner citys will never be as good as an education in the suburbs.Society funtions on the inequalities of many things including education. Could you image everyone one with a decent education? and working at a good job? I surly cannot see this image every being possible. The lack of education can cause higer poverty percentage, higher teen pregnancy, and higher crime rates. If inner city children had the same education as surburbs children would they take advantage of the opportunity or would the outcome be the same. Why fund a school if you know the children would not excel from the education provided? The value of education needs to be taught in the home of these children not in school.
